Cenote Washbasin
magnetic presence
Cenote is a collection of washbasins designed by Patricia Urquiola that is full of material and sensory vibrations. Far removed from mainstream decorative style, the refractory clay surface is carefully worked to leave the exterior deliberately rough. Surprisingly, the enameled interior is pleasantly smooth to the touch and shiny. An evocative play of contrasts between roughness and smoothness joins artisan handiwork to make each washbasin a unique, distinctive, and valuable object.
Cenote Lava, like the rest of the Cenote family, has been designed with great attention to the materials and the manufacturing processes. Each washbasin is carved from a single block of lava stone, showcasing its natural, dark color and unique, pleasingly smooth texture. Each washbasin is unique and distinctive combining high-quality craftsmanship with the rugged beauty of lava stone.
Round surface-mounted washbasin in fireclay or lava stone, without tap hole and with free drainage. The fireclay external finish is available in natural clay or dark clay, and has a glazed interior finish, whether transparent or in color. The lava stone is the same interior finish as the exterior. The washbasin is complete with a drain with a cap in the same interior finish as the washbasin. Washbasins available in 2 sizes. Total weights: Model No. 1 is 18kg (39lb) / Model No. 2 is 26 kg (57lb).

The history of Agape began in 1973 and it has crossed 50 years of evolution in design, architecture, technology and lifestyle, interpreting one of the most special rooms in the home, the bathroom. A space Agape sets at the heart of domestic life, the bathroom is devised to last through time and to conjure up profound sensations and emotions every day.
The Agape line is made entirely in Italy with high-quality raw materials, carefully crafted detail and efficient and environmentally friendly production processes, as confirmed by its LEED certification.
Agape is about the project. They are architects at heart and work with architects and designers to design objects to be part of an architecture. Often born from specific architectural needs, the products in our catalogue are capable of establishing intense relationships with the spaces that embrace them to become elements of a carefully curated vocabulary of architecture for the senses.
Agape is about timelessness. When it comes to bathroom architecture, timeless needs call for timeless solutions. Their projects and products defy the zeitgeist and passing trends to offer long lasting solutions thanks to the quality of our materials and to the adherence to good design principles that will never go out of fashion. Agape is about being exquisitely Italian. They are informal and hospitable. They are quintessentially international, yet deeply in love with their riverside headquarters between the Po and the Mincio near Renaissance Mantova.
