A structure emphasizing its delicately rounded shapes

Named after the Spanish word for “cradle,” the Cuna bathtub by Patricia Urquiola for Agape thoughtfully explores the harmony between softness and structural clarity. Inspired by the delicate craftsmanship of traditional lanterns, Urquiola encased the thermoformed solid-surface tub within an elegant tubular steel frame, gracefully highlighting its rounded curves. This interplay of precise lines and gentle volumes elevates the bathtub beyond mere functionality into something serene and subtly expressive, showcasing Urquiola’s deep understanding of materials and careful attention to detail.

In the “Soft Loft” apartment by Line Architects in Chisinau, Moldova, the Cuna bathtub effortlessly blends into a thoughtful interior defined by harmonious contrasts. Designed for a young creative couple, the space merges industrial textures with warm tones, crafting a welcoming yet contemporary atmosphere. Positioned within a bedroom that seamlessly transitions into a dressing room and bathroom, Cuna accentuates the intimacy and tranquility of this private retreat. Its compact, cradle-like shape echoes the home’s philosophy of balancing strength with softness, creating a sanctuary that thoughtfully complements everyday life.

Bathtub in white or two-tone Solid surface (exterior in dark grey RAL7021 or light grey RAL7044) and support structure in tubular stainless steel coated in mat white (RAL9003), mat black (RAL9005) or mat light grey (RAL7044) or brushed burnished finishes. The bathtub comes with chrome waste with built-in overflow system.
