INNER WORKINGS OF TIMELESS DESIGN

In a unique collaboration, award-winning designer Gabriele Buratti and Acerbis’ own Lodovico Acerbis created the Steel sideboard unusually wide, emphasized by a minimalist structure that rests on two ephemerally thin side panels in mirror-polished steel, and bathed in light diffused by a matte methacrylate strip set into the top, with an illuminated interior and base as well.

Gabriele Buratti, architect and professor of Interior Design at the Faculty of Design of Politecnico di Milano, and Oscar Buratti, architect, form the architecture and design studio Buratti Architetti. The studio is transversally involved in projects of different scales, from the architecture of buildings and urban areas to interiors of houses and commercial spaces, from the design of furniture and lighting to the exhibition and showroom design, in an intense and varied professional path, in which themes, places and typologies, brands and people, materials and workmanship, mingle together contaminating one another.

Lodovico Acerbis was born in Albino, Bergamo in 1939 and graduated in Economics and Business in Milan. In 1963 he joined his father’s company with the aim of creating design furniture by applying the most advanced technologies and the best materials. Founded in 1870, as a carpentry workshop, the company under his direction reached industrial dimensions and established itself as a leading company in the sector. Lodovico Acerbis combined his work as an industrialist with that of a designer, producing some of the most significant creations of Italian production, often signed together with Giotto Stoppino, with whom he created a fervent creative partnership.

Sideboard. Top and doors in glossy lacquer in the colors: white, chalk, linen, sand, clay, mustard, brick, burgundy, pink, green, navy, black. Also an option is dark-stained walnut veneer - Canaletto walnut has a medium tone with soft color variations, making it one of the most popular woods in recent years. The dark color shade enhances the value and elegance of the material.

Sides in shiny mirrored AISI304 stainless steel. Interiors in white micro-embossed finish.

Technical back-end system with back-lighting and cable organization. Including power cable kit for US and 8mm thick transparent glass shelves (2 for Model No. L163 and 3 for Model No. L243).
